Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Minimin, a financial management platform for self-employed creatives in the United Kingdom. By accessing or using Minimin during its beta testing phase, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident. The service is intended solely for business or professional use by self-employed individuals (e.g. stylists, photographers, freelancers).

3. Service Status & Disclaimers

Minimin is currently in a beta testing phase. Accordingly:

• Service availability and feature performance are not guaranteed.
• Features may change without notice.
• Data integrity and accuracy are not warranted; users must verify all calculations independently.
• Minimin does not provide regulated financial, tax, or legal advice. All outputs are guidance only.

4. Account Registration & Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate and complete information.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
• Use of biometric authentication is optional and subject to your consent.
• You are responsible for maintaining backups of your financial records.

5. Data Use & Ownership

• All data you submit remains yours.
• You grant us a non-exclusive, limited licence to use your data solely to provide the service.
• You may export your data in JSON format at any time.
• AI-based features (e.g. Rate Guide, document generation) will only access your data if you provide explicit consent.

6. Payment Services

Client invoices and payments are processed via Stripe Connect. Use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's terms and policies. You authorise us to share necessary invoice and payment data with Stripe to facilitate transactions.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following services, with limited data sharing:

• Resend.com: For transactional emails (name and email)
• SendGrid: Legacy email delivery
• Anthropic (Claude AI): Document processing (opt-in only)
• Stripe Connect: Payment processing

8. User Rights

You have the right to:

• Delete your account and all associated data (with cascading removal)
• Export your data
• Revoke consent to Rate Guide participation
• Manage communication preferences with granular opt-out controls

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or access restricted areas of the software
• Upload harmful or misleading content

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss
• Our total liability is limited to the greater of £100 or the fees you have paid to us in the preceding 12 months
• You remain solely responsible for any tax filings, professional decisions, or business consequences arising from your use of the platform

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for any breach of these Terms. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
